| Why
I think my kitty isn't eating: Was weaned at 4 wks of age and
spayed at 8 wks and thrown outside at 10 wks and with only having
6 teeth has trouble eating. She doesn't do anything without seeing
1 of the others do it first. 1 with kidney failure, 1 has asthma,
1 many different problems on pheno, paxil, 1 tamed feral has aids. |
| Date
when assist feeding began: |
Oct. 1, 2003 full time.
Was half the time Aug. 14, 2003 till I had to get more in her. She
did eat some on her own at first... not much, and it was very hard
to get her to eat after all but 6 teeth had to be taken out 7-2-03:
from 7-2-03 to Oct 1st, I syringe fed her only when I couldn't get
her to eat soft can food on her own. Canned food was all over the
house trying to get her to eat. |
| Feeding
Technique: |
100%
syringe feeding. I put some food in a cup the size you get from
the hospital, warm it just a bit. I make enough to last no more than
2 days, 6 feedings. Go put her bib on carry her out and sit on couch.
Hold her like a baby and while I have the syringes, napkin. Next
I pull some up into the syringe and put near her mouth and tell
her that she is a special, precious baby and she needs more than
2 syringes. |
| Why
I've chosen to Assist Feed: |
